Einbauanleitung / Installation Guide

Installing the Expansion Cards

Beginning Operation

Proceed as follows to start operating

X8500

➤

Plug in the necessary interface cables of your expansion card into the sock-
ets provided.
If required, you can obtain the cables from your local dealer.

➤

Connect

X8500

as described in the

X8500

Hardware Installation Guide.

By using Setup Tool, you can enter any necessary licenses if required, and you

can verify the success of the installation of the card.

➤

Open the Setup Tool.

Please note that expansion cards for WAN connections require
that you use Twisted Pair (shielded or unshielded) cables as
WAN cables.

To log on to

X8500

, and for further information on Setup Tool

and software configuration in general, please refer to the

X8500

Software Configuration Guide.

The Software Configuration Guide for

X8500

is provided for on

your BinTec Companion CD and on BinTec’s WWW server.
