2.1 Equipping an Expansion Card with
Resource Modules
This chapter describes how you equip your expansion card with a resource
module(s). If you want to operate the expansion card without resource modules,
continue with chapter 2.4, page 48 .
2.1.1 Resource Modules Available
The following resource cards are available:

XT-S
Resource module with 8 digital modems
■
XT-M
Resource module with 12 digital modems
■
XT-2M
Resource module with 24 digital modems
■
XT-L
Resource module with 30 digital modems
■
XT-VPN
Resource module for compression, public key acceleration and symmetri-
cal encryption
■
XT-2SYNC
Resource module with two X.21/V.35 interfaces to be mounted on the
X8E-2SYNC expansion card
2.1.2 Equipping Expansion Card with Digital
Modems or XT-VPN
Expansion cards can be fitted with a maximum of two resource modules.
