8.4 Feed hopper

8.4.1 Operation

The desired conveyor capacity is regulated by the smooth feed hopper level

adjustment (without forced insertion- or -recirculation, by pushing the swivel plate (Item

2) up or down with the adjustment knobs (Item 1).

The loosely-suspended swivel plate prevents bridging feed in the feed hopper. It is

connected by a lever to a plastic wheel (Item 3), which is moved up and down by the

conveyor chain drive plates. This movement is transferred to the swivel plate.

Nuts, screws and other objects can inadvertently fall into the feed hopper

during the mounting process and can thus reach the feed line. Before

starting the mounting process, move the swing plate completely to the

bottom using the adjustment buttons.
