If the meter does not seem to work properly, check and replace (as needed) the battery and fuse, and/or
review this manual to verify correct operation.
REPLACING BATTERY AND FUSE
Warning
To avoid false readings, which could lead to possible electric shock or personal injury, relJlace the battery
as soon as the low battery indicator ( 9 ) appears.
To prevent damage or injury, install only replacement fuses with the specified amperage, voltage, and
interrupt ratings.
Turn off the meter and remove the test leads from the meter before opening the battery cover or the case.
1. To replace battery, remove the screw on the battery cover and remove the battery cover. Replace the
exhausted battery with a new one of the same type ( 9V battery, 6F22 or equivalent ). Reinstall the
battery cover and the screw.
2. To replace fuse, remove the holster from the meter, then remove the screws on the back cover and
move the back cover aside gently. Replace the blown fuse with a new one of the same ratings.
Reinstall the back cover and all the screws. Finally, reinstall the holster.
Tip: You should remove the use accessory from the meter by pulling before you remove the holster.
Remember to reinstall the use accessory in correct direction after reinstalling the holster.
This meter uses two fuses
:
F1: 630mA, 1000V FAST fuse, 10 x 38 mm, min. interrupt rating 20000A
F2: 20A, 1000V FAST fuse, 10 x 38 mm, min. interrupt rating 20000A

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, accessories and
packaging should be sorted, taken to a recycling centre and disposed of in a manner which is
compatible with the environment.
DISPOSAL
Do not dispose battery in household waste.
Batteries should be disposed of in a responsible manner, they must be disposed at
appropriate collection point.
Dispose of this product at the end of its working life in compliance with the EU Directive on
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment. Contact your local solid waste authority for
recycling information or give the product for disposal to BGS technic KG or to an electrical
appliances retailer.
