2.1.3 CYLINDER HEAD: REMOVING
CAMSHAFTS
Lift the intake camshaft

, pull out the bearing

and remove the chain

from the gear on the shaft.
Attention:
the hydraulic tensioner must already
have been removed in order to remove the camshaf-
ts.
In order to remove the exhaust camshaft

, repeat
the operations described for removal of the intake
camshaft.
ATTENTION:
make sure the chain does not fall insi-
de the compartment dedicated to it. For this purpo-
se, it is recommended to interpose a plastic rod (or
the likes)

between the chain and the head.
