CHECKING THE CYLINDER
Make sure the bore is within the service limits of the
relevant class carried in the table below.
Carry out measurement at a distance
A
from the top
face of the cylinder (surface between cylinder and
cylinder head). To measure it correctly, it must be
done according to the
X
and
Y
directions orthogonal
between them. Consider the maximum measure-
ment to determine the cylinder wear.
The difference between the two measurements is
the ovalization.
This measurement must be carried out by pla-
cing the bore meter in such a way that its axis
is perpendicular to the axis of the crankshaft.
3.17.2.1 ASSEMBLY CLEARANCE
The following table carries the coupling play between
the cylinder and piston.
In order to calculate the coupling play between the
cylinder and the piston, a subtraction must be carried
out between the diameter of the cylinder and that of
the piston.
