3.12.1 Check of ignition
system
Accurately degrease the various elements and
carry on with the checks.
The main check is the one concerning the elec-
trical verification which can be done by using
a standard tester. The detected strength values
must respect those in the table.
3.12.2 Coupling of ignition
system to crankcase
Apply the pick up to the crankcase by inserting
the gasket in the specific seat, prior application
of the isolating silicone paste.
Apply the thread of the two screws 1 with me-
dium strength threadlocker and tighten them at
a torque of 6Nm.

3.12 CHECk OF IGNITION
SYSTEM
Before reassembling the ignition system, it is rec-
ommended to check its correct functioning.
The ignition system is made up of the magnetic
pick-up, the stator unit and the flywheel. The
system is completed by the ignition coil and the
spark plug, which are not dealt with in this text.
