Open Center Hydraulic Modification
Overview
The hydraulic boom control manifold included with this sprayer comes equipped for use with
closed center hydraulic systems. For the sprayer booms to operate with an open center hydraulic
system the valve cartridge in the front of the manifold will need to be replaced. The following
pages include instructions for removing the existing cartridge and replacing it with the correct car-
tridge to operate with an open center hydraulic system.
Installation
Before proceeding with the valve cartridge replace-
ment, make sure that the boom is raised to the maximum
height with the stow lock brackets in the “locked” position
and that the wings are folded and resting in the stow racks.
When this is complete, make sure that the wire harness on
the hydraulic manifold is disconnected from the switch box.

Hydraulic driven solution pumps can not be operated with this
boom control manifold on open center hydraulic systems. PTO
driven solution pumps are recommended when using tractors
with open center hydraulic systems.
NOTE:
To avoid serious injury or death, Stow Lock Brackets
must always be in “Locked” Position and sprayer must
be attached to a towing vehicle while working beneath
sprayer.
