7 .5 Thermostatic mixer valve
A thermostatic mixer valve must be installed at the outlet
from the storage cylinder to keep the temperature of the
domestic hot water under 60°C (see pos. 14 in the typical
water system schematic).
b
Make sure that you fit the valve the right way around:
-the “+” mark identifies the inlet for hot water from the
solar storage cylinder
-the “-” mark identifies the inlet for domestic cold
water.

Heat is only transferred from the solar collector circuit to
the storage cylinder when the temperature of the solar
collectors exceeds that of the water in the storage cylinder.
It is therefore temperature differential rather than absolute
temperature that is important for the functioning of solar
water heating systems.
b
Fit the sensor (S) with the temperature resistant
(red) silicon cable in the socket (3) in the outlet from
the leftmost collector in the collector series (see
installation diagram).

b
Fit the storage cylinder temperature sensor in the
socket provided, taking care to expand the securing
spring (L) first.

Refer to the instructions provided with the controller for
details on how to configure it.
