B.1 Syslog Description
The OpEdge supports a System Logging Protocol used to send system log or event messages to
a specific server, called a Syslog server. It is primarily used to collect various device logs from
multiple machines/applications to monitor and examine the device.
The OpEdge supports the System Logs feature which allows capturing various system log or
event messages in a local OpEdge log file.
The Syslog protocol supports the following severity levels:
