Use

nely ground espresso powder for making espresso to achieve an optimum crema.
5. Insert the porta

lter into the device (see the “Handling and Operation” chapter – “Inserting
the Porta

lter into the Device”).
6. Place one or two suitable cup(s) on the storage plate (

) under the porta

lter.
With two cups make sure that they are each positioned next to each other below an
outlet (

lter.
7. Start the brewing process as soon as the control lamp
(

) is constantly lit by pressing
the button

). The device starts the brewing process, and water runs through the
porta
fi
lter into the cup.
8. Once the required amount of espresso / coffee has run into the cup, press the button
again. The device switches to stand-by mode and no more water runs through the porta
fi
lter.
9. If you no longer wish to use the device, press the
button for approx. 3 seconds.
The device switches off and the operating lamp goes out.
If the device is not switched off manually, it automatically switches off after 25 minutes in
stand-by mode.
Preparing Milk Froth
1. Fill the water tank (

) (see the “Handling and Operation” chapter – “Filling the Water Tank”).
2. Switch on the device by pressing the button
(

). The operating lamp

and the control lamp

ashes. The device starts the heating process.
3. Press

) to switch to steam mode. The control lamp

heats up to a higher temperature.
4. Direct the steam nozzle (

) towards the drip tray (

) or into an empty vessel.
5. Start the steam process as soon as the control lamp
is constantly lit by gradually turning
the steam power control (

) to the
position. The device starts to emit steam, and any
existing condensation is drained away.
6. Turn the selector switch to the position as soon as steam emerges continuously from the
steam nozzle.
7. Pour milk at fridge temperature with a fat content of at least 2% to a level of roughly two-
thirds in a container with a handle for frothing.
Please Note!
The container must be large enough as the milk will expand when it froths up.
8. Direct the steam nozzle into the frothing container and immerse it in the milk.
9. Start the frothing process by gradually turning the steam power control to the
position.
