Multi-point control, copying the transmitter
In the case of multi-point or 2-way control, a roller shutter drive can be con-
trolled from several operating points with equal access. For this purpose, an
additional copy of the wall transmitter which is allocated to the roller shutter
drive is prepared for each additional operating point.
1. Remove the cover of the group button on both TouchControls.
2. Adopt the setting of switches S1-S6 of the original in the duplicate. Put S7
and S8 of the duplicate to ON.
3. Put “original” and “duplicate” beside each other on a non-metal base (e.g.
on a table top).
4. Press the group button of the original transmitter and hold down.
5. Press the group button on the “duplicate” and hold down until the LED of
the original goes out after 10 - 15 sec.
6. Release the buttons of both TouchControls and replace the button covers.
7. Perform functional check with the “duplicate”: individual and group com-
mands can be transmitted with the duplicate, and switching times stored.
In addition, you can switch between manual and automatic mode.
Attention
The “MANUAL/AUTOMATIC” switch must always be moved to
the same position on the “original” and the “duplicate”, other-
wise the current operating status will not be clearly identifiable
and the drive will always change to the mode of the transmitter
from which it received the last command.
Group control
In the case of a group control unit, several roller shutter drives are controlled
by one group command. TouchControl transmits a group command if the
group button is pressed together with a direction key. The drive can only ex-
ecute a group or central command if it has previously been programmed the
relevant group (transmitter) identification code. Several drives which have
been programmed the same group identification code form a group.
To distinguish between an individual and a group command, each
TouchControl has 2 different transmitter identification codes. The identifica-
tion code for the group command is always transmitted when the group but-
ton is pressed.
As individual and group commands are available on each TouchControl, in
principle no additional group transmitter is required in order to construct a
group control unit.
However, if you wish, for example, to use an additional transmitter beside the
front door for the central command, TouchControl also offers this option.
If several group identification codes have been stored in one drive, that code
must be selected in the TouchControl which is to be transmitted when the
group button and the required direction key are pressed simultaneously.
6 different group identification codes can be programmed in each drive and
can therefore belong to 6 different groups. Each group identification code is
stored separately when programmed. Switches S1 to S6, located beneath the
cover of the group button, are used for this purpose. Which group is advanta-
geously allocated to which switch, is dictated by the number of roller shutters.
