BOM 520/820 Operating Instructions
Fig. 13 - Antenna alignment /
Connection plan
Note
The mains plug must be removed before open-
ing the cover! Do not attach any live wires,
only connect potential-free switches and po-
tential-free relay outputs. Then mount the
cover and screw on.
Before first commissioning, the drive must un-
dergo a performance and safety check (see
Maintenance/Inspection). The enclosed an-
tenna has to be installed
to its full length, parallel to the main receiver
direction. Please mount it at the greatest pos-
sible distance from metal parts, cables etc. in
order to achieve max. reception.
E - Connection for antenna
Bend the antenna to the right by approx. 90( at the hous-
ing exit (as shown in illustration 13/14).
If an external antenna is used, the shielding must be con-
nected to the adjacent terminal (F, right)
F - Connection for external pulse generator
(accessory, e.g. keyswitch or code switch)
G - STOP A input
Connection for safety devices (accessory, e.g. personell door contact). An interruption in this input will result in stopping or
prevent the drive from starting.
H - STOP B input
Connection for safety devices (accessory, e.g. counter light barrier). An interruption in this input will result in automatic
reversal of direction of the drive during closing.
I - 24 V ~ power supply
(e.g. for counter light barrier), connection must be loaded with max. 100 mA.
Pulse transmitter and external safety devices
Where there are increased personal safety requirements, we recommend the additional installation of a counter light barrier
(see connection plan Figure 13 (I) (H)) for internal power limitation of the drive. Further information on accessories is provided
in our documentation. Please contact your dealer.
Removing the drive
1. Remove mains plug and disconnect all existing connections.
2. Release the connection between door and drive and fix the door.
3. Perform steps 3 to 14 of the installation instructions in the reverse order.
Programming the drive
Fig. 14 - Operational controls
The operational controls for programming the door drive are protected by a transparent cover. This cover can be opened with
a screwdriver.
When the drive has been programmed, the transparent cover must be closed again.
A - Numeric display shows the menu step and the current set value.
a
- Point display, illuminates when the drive is ready for operation and flashes to acknowledge the programmed hand trans-
mitter code.
B -
button serves as up button during setting and as the start button outside the menu.
C -
button serves as down button during setting.
D -
button serves to call up the setting menu, change the menu step and save the settings.
The programming of the control is menu-guided. The menu-guidance is called up by pressing the
button. The numbers in
the display indicate the menu step. The display flashes after approx. 2 seconds and the setting can be changed using the
and
buttons. The set value is stored with the
button and the program automatically goes to the next menu step. Menu
steps can be skipped by pressing the
button several times. To exit the menu, press the
button until the number 0
appears again. The
button can be used outside the menu to give a start impulse.
