Basic Operations

Set Measure-
ment Type
(also a Mea-
surement
operation)

There are two Measurement Types: Sin-
gle Site and System Quality Verification.
All SOS measurements of bone are con-
ducted with the first type. See Chapter 8,
"Patient SOS Measurement‚" page 8-1
for details.
System Quality Verification must be con-
ducted once daily, preferably at the
beginning of each working day, to insure
that probes and the system are operating
with no problems. Chapter 6, "System
Quality Verification‚" page 6-1, describes
the procedure.

patient.

menus, as described next. See the
graphical overview at the beginning of
this chapter for a description of the tool-
