Appendix B

Upgrading from NauticaRS 3.5R

In order to upgrade the router configuration from NauticaRS 3.5R
to Version 5, you must extract the configuration to a text file and
then upgrade this file to Version 4.1 using the bcc-conv.exe file in
the upgrade directory of the CD that accompanies the installation.

After the router configuration file is upgraded to NauticaRS
Version 4.1, then Nautica Wizard automatically converts this file
to Version 5.

Different files are used to upgrade the different Nautica routers. In
the table below, click on the Nautica router you are upgrading.

If you experience problems, refer to the “

Frequently Asked

Questions

” section at the end of this appendix.

Note:

You must upgrade both the packet driver and bootloader

before you load the configuration file.
