When it is not possible to recharge the battery, or it does not keep its charge, it is
because its useful life has been exhausted. To preserve natural resources, please
recycle or dispose of the battery pack properly. This battery contains lithium-ion cells.
Before disposal, make sure that the battery pack is fully discharged by testing your
cordless product. Then, remove the battery from the tool housing and cover the battery
connections with a sturdy tape to prevent short circuits and power discharges that could
cause a fire. Do not open the battery pack or remove any of its components.
Consult your local waste authority for information regarding available recycling and / or
disposal options.
• The first charge is not decisive regarding its duration. The performance of a lithium
battery on the first charge is the same as that of the following charges, so no maximum
charge is required at the beginning.
• A first full discharge and charge is not necessary at the beginning.
• The memory effect is the loss of the charging capacity of the batteries due to
incomplete charges. Li-Ion batteries produce a minimum of memory effect, so loading
them incompletely does not mean irreparable damage to them. It is recommended to
charge them completely once every some time.
• If it is to be stored for an extended period, it is recommended to do it with an
approximate charging of 40%. In this way, it will maintain its characteristics and its
useful life.
• Check that the battery is not too hot when connected to the charger. If so, allow it to
cool, leaving it in a cool and dry place, for about 30 minutes.
Battery disposal
Charging procedure
• Check that the charger is disconnected from the mains.
• Mount the battery correctly in the charger. Allow it to lock in; you will hear a click
when this happens.
• Plug in the charger. The red LED on the charger will light up.
• When the charging is complete, the green LED will light up and the red LED will
turn off.
• Press the unlock button from the battery and remove it from the charger.
• When repeatedly using the charger to charge several batteries, let the charger
cool down before charging another battery. It is recommended that the cooling
period not be less than 30 minutes.
NOTE:
If the green light comes on immediately or within a few minutes when a
discharged battery is installed, the battery is likely to be very hot, so wait until it
cools down. It may also be in poor condition or have reached the end of its useful
life. In the latter two cases, it is recommended to replace the battery.
