Set the knife rotation lever to the "Rotation"
position, and then press the middle of the
belt with your finger to check the belt
tension.

If the belt tension is inappropriate, adjust it
by tightening the tension wire adjustment
bolt.
Adjust it so that the springs are adjusted as
follows.
Tension spring
Set the knife rotation lever to the
"Rotation" position, and then adjust so
that the total length of the tension spring
is 40.0 mm (1.57 in).

Tension return spring
Important
Make sure that the shoe of the knife brake is
not worn.
If the brake shoe is worn, replace it.
Important
After adjusting the knife brake, adjust the
tension return spring.
Set the knife rotation lever to the "Stop"
position, and then adjust so that the total
length of the tension return spring is 50.0
mm (1.97 in).
