Replacing Rotating Gobos
The Technospot fixture is designed with removable rotating gobo apertures. This allows a gobo to
be changed easily without removing the wheel from the unit. To change a rotating gobo:
1. Remove one of the bezel covers and set the
tilt lock to stablize the unit in a convenient
position.
2. Rotate the wheel to the desired gobo.
3. Holding the wheel securely, lift the aperture
slightly and pull straight out from it’s position
on the wheel.
4. Lift the spring and remove it with the aperture
ring and the gobo.
5. Place the lithopattern into the aperture, so
that when it is placed back in the wheel, the
coated side will be away from the lamp.
To determine which side of the lithopattern is
coated, place the tip of a pen against each
side of the lithopattern and view it from a
slight angle. On the coated side, the tip of the
pen appears to touch its reflection. On the
uncoated side, there appears to be a gap
between the pen and its reflection
6. Replace the ring and spring.
7. Reinsert the aperture tab into the wheel lifting
slightly to clear the two small screw heads on
the edge of the wheel.
8. After replacing the lithopattern, clean it by
using a soft, lint-free cotton cloth and a mild
glass cleaning solution (containing no
ammonia).
Note: The aperture in Position 4 of the
wheel (Hollywood Stars or Skull) has
a sensor pad and must always be
placed in that position on the wheel
for the sensor to work properly.
