IEX series

Mains cords:

The power cords delivered with this system have special properties for safety. They are not user serviceable. If
the power cords are damaged, replace them only with new ones. Never try to repair a power cord.

LEDs:

The LEDs used on the IEX tiles are fragile. Never push with a hard or sharp object onto the lens of the LED as
this may cause damage to the LED. The maximum allowed load upon the lens of the LED is 300 gram/LED.

Do not hot plug:

Do not hot plug any cables. Damage to the connector pins may occur. Resulting damage is not covered under
warranty.

Maximum allowed display height:

The maximum height of a IEX display is limited: maximum 20 tiles high for a hanging configuration.

Maximum wind load for hanging configuration

The maximum height of the IEX display in a wall mount configuration 18 tiles.

1.4 Proper usage

Proper usage of IEX tiles

No part of the IEX tile can come in contact with any type of moisture.

No part of the IEX tile can come in contact with any type of abrasive.

No part of the IEX tile can come in contact with any type of dust.

No part of the IEX tile can come in contact with any type of corrosive substance.

Do not incline, scratch, or crash the LED display during installation.

Do not direct the air outlet of an air conditioner to the LED display.

Do not place or use the LED display in an environment with volatile, corrosive or flammable chemical
products.

Using the LED product in an environment with high corrosive gasses (e.g. Sulphur) can lead to
discoloration of the materials. This discoloration gives a change in brightness of the product. This could
lead to uniformity differences and possibly also to failures. Each use of the product in this kind of
environment needs to be checked up-front with the supplier.

IEX tiles are to be used in environments meeting the operating specifications.

IEX tiles are not to be used in environments that are subject to airborne contaminants such as that
produced by smoke machines (cracked oil) or similar (these deposit a thin layer of greasy residue upon the
LEDs optics, degrading performance).

IEX tiles are not to be exposed to extreme localized heat or cold exceeding the temperature specifications.

IEX tiles are not to be exposed to any element or situation that will cause any part of the display to heat
beyond what occurs during normal operation. Such situations include but are not limited to lasers,
ultrasonic vibration, or any type of substance that prevents proper ventilation and heat radiation of the IEX
tiles.

IEX tiles are not to be exposed to circumstances where moisture can condense or collect on any
components.

Power connected to the IEX tiles must meet the specifications outlined in the installation manual.

Avoid any accidental bumping of the module corners while installing or removing the IEX module. Since
LED

s of the IEX modules are mounted near by the edges of the LED boards, which is unavoidable in the

design of a high resolution LED-wall, the corners of the IEX modules become sensitive for mechanical
damage. Because of that it is required to handle the IEX modules with care at all times.

Never place an IEX module upon a surface with the LED

s facing downwards without protection. This to

prevent damage to the LEDs and the soft lens of the LEDs.

While removing or installing the IEX modules always keep the LED side of the IEX module parallel with the
LED side of the remaining neighboring IEX modules. This to avoid any mechanical stress upon the corners
of the IEX modules.

No force can be applied to the LEDs. Any LEDs damaged due to mechanical stress are not covered by the
warranty.

Safety and functional features of the display cannot be defeated.
