Display License File
A screen is displayed to provide the administrator with the details of the license file.
Update License File
After the user confirms the action, the Bandura Cyber TIG will connect to the support server to
update the license file. This requires a connection to the internet be set up. This option does not
remove the existing Bandura Cyber TIG configuration.
Request New License
After the user confirms the action, the Bandura Cyber TIG will prompt the user for several items.
The user will specify the license server (or press enter to accept to default), the Build Code and
the Serial Number. The Bandura Cyber TIG will then connect to the support server to download
new license and updated firmware. This requires a connection to the internet be set up. The
firmware will be automatically installed, which will result in restoring the Bandura Cyber TIG to
the default factory settings.
4.2.3 Log File Management
The Log File Management section of the Recovery Console is used to edit the three logging
databases on the Bandura Cyber TIG: the IPv4 packet log, the IPv6 packet log and the
message log. The Administrator is able to clear log records from the log file, reinitialize the log
files, and overwrite the log files with either ones, zeros, or random data.
The following menu options will appear when entering Log File Management:
1.
Clear Log Records:
This is used to delete the index of the log records in the log files.
2.
Reinitialize Log Files:
This is used to initialize the log files, which will clear the records,
delete the files, and recreate the files.
3.
Overwrite Log Files with Ones:
This is used to fill the existing log files on the hard disk
with all 1 bits.
4.
Overwrite Log Files with Zeros:
This is used to fill the existing log files on the hard disk
with all 0 bits.
5.
Overwrite Log Files with Random:
This is used to fill the existing log files on the hard
disk with all random data.
R.
Go Back:
This will return the user to the Recovery Console menu.
Clear Log Records
After the user confirms the action, the existing log index files are cleared. This is a quick process
that wipes the index into the log files. The existing data is on the hard disk, but will not be shown
in the Bandura Cyber TIG GUI as the index into the data is gone.
