INSTALLATION

To install the RS-232C cable:

NOTE: Make sure power for the DCE or DTE device being con-
nected is OFF before installing the RS-232C cable.

1.

Connect one end of the RS-232C cable to the SPM face-

plate serial port.

2.

Connect the other end of the cable to the DTE or DCE

device serial port.

If a diagnostic terminal is not being used, installation is com-
plete. If it is being used, refer to

for cable connec-

tions.

FUSING

The SPM does not have any on-board fusing requirements.

PRE-OPERATING ADJUSTMENTS

There are no adjustments to be performed prior to operating
the SPM.
