Module Configuration Switch
The module configuration switch shown in Figure
contains
four contacts. These contacts:
•
Allow the DSM to interface with a master and field devices.
•
Allow the DSM to interface with a Digital Logic Station.
•
Set the operation (input or output) of each point group
within the I/O circuitry.
•
Set the operation of each point group during default.
Contact 3 of the module configuration switch determines the
unit to which the module interfaces. If the module is an I/O
interface between a master and field devices (such as
pushbuttons or relays), then the contact must be in the 0 or
closed position. If the module is to interface between a master
