5.6 Water Trap / Filter Maintenance
The Water Trap / Flter Assembly removes water condensate from the gas
sample, and also prevents soot from contamnatng the nternal compo-
nents of the analyzer.
Drain the water condensate after every test.
Procedure:
1. Pull apart the Water Trap / Flter assembly (see Fgure 5-2).
2. Pour out all water condensate. Then reassemble the trap.
Replace the Filter Element when dirty.
Material Required:
• Flter Element, P/N 07-1644
• Small Flat Blade Screwdrver
Procedure:
1. Pull apart the Water Trap / Flter assembly (see Fgure 5-2).
2. Pry apart the Filter Chamber. Then remove and discard old filter.
3. Install new filter and reassemble trap, making sure that surfaces
“A” and “B” are n contact.
