Troubleshooting

Pump Error Messages

The following error, warning, and notification, messages may occur when using the pump:

PUMP STOPPED

Excessive vacuum.

Contact support.

The pump system checks if there is too much internal suction for the

currently selected mode. Wait one minute and try again. If this error

message persists, contact Babyation support.

PUMP STOPPED

Excessive tilt

detected.

The pump detects if the enclosure has been tipped too during pumping

such that there is a risk of the milk spilling. Set the unit on a flat surface,

ensure that milk has not entered the filter, and try again.

PUMP STOPPED

Lay unit flat

and try again.

Before pumping can start, the system checks to see if it is flat. If the

system is tipped such that there is a risk of milk spilling, the pump will

not start. Set the unit on a flat surface, ensure that milk has not entered

the filter, and try again.

PUMP STOPPED

Drop detected.

The pump system detects if sudden movement presents a risk of milk

spilling and will automatically stop. Set the unit on a flat surface, ensure

that milk has not entered the filter, and try again.

PUMP STOPPED

Max milk level

exceeded.

The system detects when the collection containers are full and will

automatically stop in order to prevent overflow. Replace the milk

collection containers with empty, dry containers and try again.

PAUSED

Tap power button

to continue.

You pressed the pause button. The system will wait until you are ready

to continue.

Other troubleshooting steps:

If the pump does not power on

If it’s not plugged in, plug the pump into the wall.

If plugged into the wall, confirm that none of the connections

are loose and the wall socket has power.

If the pump still does not turn on, call Babyation customer

service at 844-744-PUMP (7867).

If there is low or no suction

Reposition the breast shield so it is centered on the nipple

and sealed tightly to the breast.

Confirm that the tubes are not kinked.

Confirm the milk container is not overfilled.

Confirm the tubes are properly connected to the breast

shield and the enclosure.

If suction is still low, call Babyation customer service at 844-

744-PUMP (7867).

If there is no milk expression

Confirm that there is adequate suction (see above).

Return to the stimulation phase.

Increase suction level when in expression phase.

Relax and take a 10-15 minute break if expression is not

achieved. Stress does crazy things to the body.

Drink more water. No seriously, you might be dehydrated a

bit.
