The next image shows a potential information window on a Skynet device. 

 

 

The current situation is:

The installed BSP code is “6.15.2 (03 Mar

 

2015)”

The installed BSP Patch code is 

“1.0”

 

 

Now we can figure out the following sequence of events: 

1.

 

A new patch is released with code 

“1.1”

 

2.

 

A new version of the BSP Image is released with code “6.16.1 ” and Patch default code

 

“1.1”

 

3.

 

A new patch is released with code 

“1.2”

 

 

If the latest patch (1.2) is installed on the current device to update it, the final result is not the same 
that can be obtained installing the same patch on the latest BSP release (6.16.1). This is because all 
the improvements added to the new BSP Image and not available in the Patch file would be lost. 

Therefore, the right sequence of steps to update the system is: 

1.

 

Install the new BSP Image (6.16.1). The previous patch (1.1) is not required because already 

contained in this file.
