Creating an application image

 

This  function  creates  a  ZIP  Archive  where  a  complete  copy  of  the  software  system  is  stored.  This 
means all the files used by the application (configuration, database, customized files, programs and 
code libraries) are copied in the archive. Using the restoring 

procedure (see “Restoring an application 

image” for more info), these data can be restored on:

 

•

 

the same device (no matter if it is a legal system or not) 

•

 

another device (only if the system is not legal) 

 

This  archive  contains  all  the  data  stored  using  the  “Configuration  backup”  function,  plus  all  the 

application  files.  This  means,  with  this  image  file  a  complete  clone  of  the  current  situation  can  be 
built (no other files are required to do that). 

The ZIP file name contains the creation date/time and the ID of the device. Moreover, it always ends 

in “_img .zip”, to make its identification during a restore procedure simpler.
