remains on up to 1 min. + time adjustment or longer

Range adjustment
1. Electronic sensitivity adjustment

If the entire geometry of the coverage is to be
retained, we recommend the electronic sensitivity
adjustment.
The range is dependent on the temperature. The
standard sensitivity applies to a temperature of
18°C, where the range is approx. 14m. When
the infrared remote control is used, the range can
be increased to approx. 16m by pressing the (+)
key once.
2. Swivelling of the spherical heads

This uniform reduces the entire coverage. The
sensor head can be swivelled vertically through
45° and horizontally through ±10° is possible. A
scale is printed on the spherical head for vertical
swivelling in order to permit easy and rapid reset-
ting the previous condition. A scale is engraved
in the casing for horizontal swivelling.
3. Mechanical range adjustment (10.CP6))
This adjustment is purely optical range adjustment
and permits precise, area by area restriction of

the coverage. In the case of the 230° and 280°
models, the two zones of the 230° detector and the
three zones of the 280° detector can be restricted
independently of one another. Through the height
adjustment of the infrared detector, it “sees“ more
or less, with the same electronic sensitivity.
4. Blanking out individual segments using the clips
supplied

Small areas can be blanked out deliberately using
the clips.
5. Turning the 360° creep-under protection on and off
Only possible in combination with the infrared
remote control. You may want to turn off the
LUXOMAT
®
RC-plus, for example, when it is
mounted above a bush. During operation without
the LUXOMAT
®
IR-RC, the clips supplied are to
be used to cover up the creep-under protection.
The aim of the range adjustment is to reduce
sources of interference such as bushed, trees,
sides of the road, traffic routes, neighbouring
gardens etc.
Brightness setting
B - The brightness threshold or the dusk switch
can be steplessly adjusted from approx. 2 lux
(night-time operation, moon symbol) to approx.
2500 lux.
(Daytime operation/sun symbol: Adjustments
counter clockwise until stop limit):
Switching will be done independently of the
ambient brightness.
Time settings/Chime function
A - The switch-on period of the connected light-
ing can be adjusted between 15 sec. and 16
min. using this adjustable dial. If there is another
movement within this period, the timer is reset
and the running down time begins once again.
Impulse operation
:
(Adjustment clockwise to stop limit)
A chime, for example, can be triggered in this
position: pulse duration 1sec on, 9sec off.

IR-RC
The functions of the LUXOMAT
®
RC-plus can be
increased considerably in comparison to traditional
use with the aid of the IR-RC infrared remote control.
The following applies in particular here:
The actual light value can be read in in accordance
with real conditions. This means no more experiment-
ing until the actual values is derived from the estimated
value through a number of experiments.
Once the unit has been mounted, you don’t need a
ladder to make further adjustments and you can set
the unit in comfort from the ground.
Important:
The IR-receiver is positioned underneath the anticreep
lens. For optimal reception therefore to aim with the
IR-RC to this point.
The standard range of the LUXOMAT
®
IR remote con-
trol ist approx. 5m to 6m. This only applies to outside
use when the sky is overcast, i.e. when there is no
sunshine. In the case of direct sunshine, the range can
be reduced to 1m as a result of the infrared part of
the sunshine. If possible, the remote setting should be
carried out from the shade.
The range can also be reduced indoors by lamps fitted
with electronic ballasts.
Every valid receiving signal is acknowledged by the
walk test display for of 2sec lighting and indicated
by the connected lighting by flashing (Acknowledge-
ment).
