Recommended electrical clearances between portable and mobile
HF telecommunication devices and a CCS
The CCS is designed for operation in an electromagnetic environment in which HF emissions are monitored.
The customer or user of a CCS can help avoid electromagnetic interference by maintaining the minimum
clearance between portable and mobile HF telecommunication devices (transmitters) and a CCS - depending
on the output and on the communication device, as described below.

the transmitter [W]

In the case of transmitters whose maximum nominal power is not listed in the table above, the recommended
electrical clearance of d in meters (m) can be determined using the equation that belongs in the respective
column, whereby P is the maximum electrical clearance in Watts (W) according to the information provided by
the transmitter manufacturer.

NOTE 1: The higher frequency range applies for 80 MHz and 800 MHz.
NOTE 2: These guidelines may not be applicable in all cases. Electromagnetic propagation is affected by
absorption and reflection from structures, objects and people.
ATTENTION The CCS is an electrical medical device. Special EMC safety measures are necessary and
the system must be installed in line with the EMC information provided in this instruction
booklet.
NOTE
Portable and mobile HF communication equipment can influence lectrical medical
equipment.
NOTE
The EMC test is carried out under the condition that the important performance features
are fulfilled without alarms being generated which are defined in the software specification
V1.00 Rev. 00, paragraph 7.
NOTE
No frequencies other than those specified in EN 60601-1-2 Ed. 4, have been tested.
