Wiring the surge absorber

Wire as shown below when using a surge absorber (model No.83968019-001,

ordered separately) for protection from lightning surge.

Handling Precautions

• Use a JIS C 3306, 0.75 mm

power lead (lead diameter 0.18, 30-strand)

or higher for wiring to the power supply.

• Attach a straight terminal (equivalent to a 187 series receptacle, made by

TE Connectivity) to one end of the power lead, and keep the wire as

short as possible.

• Since the surge absorber mounting bracket is crimped internally to make

contact with the low potential side, electricity can flow between them. To

ground the bracket, attach it to a grounded metal part such as the burner

housing.
