Input signal commonly wired
Note: Using the control signals commonly for 4 to 20 mA DC input
The 4 to 20 mA DC input of ACTIVAL is not isolated from the
power supply.
Input impedance of 4 to 20 mA DC input is 100
Ω
. The
relation among the input impedance of ACTIVAL, output load
resistance of controller, and output load resistance and input
impedance of isolator (if necessary) should satisfy the
following equation:
Allowable load resistance > Total of input impedance.
If one controller controls two ACTIVALs, arrange that two
power transformers are used (see Fig. 19) or a power
transformer is commonly used (see Fig. 20). If a power
transformer is commonly used, install an isolator into 4 to 20
mA DC input of the second ACTIVAL. If an isolator is not
installed, malfunction will occur.
