6.1

Logic-level transfer mode

To use this operating mode, set the CTRL operating mode in the operator pa-
nel SYS 

→

 IFACE 

→

 CTRL 

→

 TTL.

The logic signals fed in by hardware (pins10, 11, 12, 13 and 15 at the TTL in-
terface) are transmitted to the far end and are provided at the outputs DATA 0 
to DATA 4 of the remote TTL interface.

Note

The default levels at the unconnected outputs (pin 10 to 
pin 15) correspond to those of a CENTRONICS printer inter-
face:

If the pins 10 or 15 are used, the following circuit is recommen-
ded (it can also be used for the other pins):

If this circuit is not used, then the pin should be connected via 
the switch to GND. The inverting effect of the circuit should be 
noted.

6.2

Printer mode

This configuration of the TTL interface allows you to print out data that is fed 
in at the remote-end LSD interface. The LSD channel must be enabled for this 
purpose (switch set to PRINTER).

In this mode, only the connections 10 to 17 and 25 are active. The signals at 
these pins correspond with TABLE 6.1. 

The connected unit, e.g. printer, must have a Centronics interface and react 
to printer commands for printers such as the Epson-FX80.
