Operation
Loading Paper
The product can scan and send document(s) either in the ADF (Automatic Document
Feeder) or on the glass. If you need to send multiple pages, please load your papers
in the ADF. The ADF can hold up to 100 pages at one time. If you need to send pages
from books, newspaper clippings, or paper with wrinkles or curls, please place your
paper on the glass.
Notice on Using the ADF
Before using the ADF, please make sure that your paper meets the following
specifications:
Document(s) can range in size from 100 x 148 mm (3.94 x 5.83 in.) to 297 x 432
mm (11.7 x 17 in.).
Document(s) should be square or rectangular and in good condition (not fragile
or worn).
Document(s) should be free of curl, wrinkle, tears, wet ink, or punch holes.
Document(s) should be free of staples, paper clips, paper sticky notes.
Keep the glass clean without document placed on it.
Note:
To transmit irregular types of document(s), place the document(s) on the
glass or make a copy first and then transmit the copy instead.
Notice on Using the Flatbed Glass
The maximum scan or copy area of the flatbed platform is A3 size. If the document is
placed near the edge of the glass platen, as shown in the illustrated red rectangle, the
content of the document that exceeds the scan range (as illustrated blue rectangle)
cannot be scanned or copied.
