When edge blending is implemented, the image aspect ratio will be changed.
If the content has the same aspect ratio as the screen, the system can be setup to show no
distortion image.
In order to reserve flexibility for different user environments, EdgePro allows user to set
different display modes to meet the requirements for different contents and source
resolutions.
•
Case A: All-in-one: display one content across entire screen.
•
Case B: 1+1: independent content in each projector.
•
Case C: Maintain aspect ratio at the center: show content with original aspect ratio at
the center. The adjusting range is 900 pixels in each edge. 900 pixels are calculated
based on input source resolution.
•
Case D: Portrait Display to increase image height. User needs to execute [Orientation]
settings under [Image Properties] menu if the content is at normal landscape direction.
•
User needs to re-adjust the [Overlap] value for edge blending after change the aspect
ratio. User can reduce the same Overlap value at two projectors until see clear image.
EdgePro setting for each case:
•
Case A: it is normal edge blending setting. Save the setting to Index 1 under [Profile].
•
Case B: user needs to reset all settings, select the input sources for discrete display and
implement geometry alignment to separate the images apart from two projectors
without overlap. Save the setting to Index 2.
•
Case C: After executing Case A for normal edge blending, user can do further [2x2]
corner geometry alignment to move both side image borders to center direction till the
location where customer requires. User also needs to re-adjust the video wall [Overlap]
value to eliminate double image in overlap area. User can reduce the same Overlap
value at two projectors until see clear image. Then save the settings into Profile Index 3.
If the projector number is more than 2, user needs to check geometry alignment pixels
at both sides and execute Excel Spread Sheet based on new source resolution. For
instance, if original source resolution is 3840 and the image to be drawn back with 400
pixels at both sides, then the new Spread Sheet calculation should base on 3840-
400x2=3040 pixels to get new Overlap value.
•
Case D: portrait edge blending. This is another case with projector installed at different
direction. It is not a case that only executes EdgePro settings.
User can store different settings into different profile Index and recall through remote
controller, RS232 or Ethernet. Except for Case D, no projector installation or settings is
required.
