Continue with the procedure to perform server recovery.

Adding the license key for server recovery or software
remastering

About this task

To perform server recovery or software remastering, you will need to add the original VMware

license key.

Before you begin

Ensure that you:

• Take the VMware license key from the original server lid.
• Move the original server lid to the new ACP 130 server if you are replacing the server.

Procedure

1. Log in to the ESX/ESXi host at the URL 

https://

[IP Address of host]

/ui

Replace 

[IP Address of host]

 in the URL with the actual IP address of the host.

2. In the Navigator pane on the left, click 

Manage

.

3. On the 

Licensing

 tab, click 

Assign license

.
