Commissioning (settings/options in the actuator)
For actuators without mechanical position indicator (cover without indicator glass),
no settings are required within the actuator when commissioning.
When equipped with the self-adjusting mechanical position indication [A], the position
indication automatically adjusts upon the initial operation (e.g. from CLOSED to
OPEN). This self-adjustment is generally performed when setting the limit switches
(approaching the end positions). Manual setting and consequently opening the switch
compartment is not necessary when commissioning.
In case the mechanical position indicator integrated within the actuator is NOT
self-adjusting [B], the switch compartment must be opened for mechanical position
indication adjustment when commissioning.

Open
1.
Loosen screws [2] and remove cover [1] from the switch compartment.
Close
2.
Clean sealing faces of housing and cover.
3.
Check whether O-ring [3] is in good condition, replace if damaged.
4.
Apply a thin film of non-acidic grease (e.g. petroleum jelly) to the O-ring and
insert it correctly.
5.
Place cover [1] on switch compartment.
6.
Fasten screws [2] evenly crosswise.
