Sending an SMS message
1.
Before you can work on the caller list, press several times the
CLIP/
/
button, until you see the message
SMS-Modus
appearing in the display.
2.
Confirm with the
ENTER
button. The message
Verfassen?
(Write message?)
will appear in the display.
3.
Confirm with
ENTER
.
4.
Now enter the required SMS message with a maximum of 161 characters.
Letters can be deleted with the
button. Individual letters within the text
already entered can be specifically selected by using the Jogdial and deleted
with the
button.
5.
When your text is finished, press the Save button
.
6.
Now select by means of the Jogdial whether you want to send the SMS to a
new phone number (Enter number?) or to a phone number that is already
stored in the phone book (Phone book?).
7.
Confirm with
ENTER
.
8.
Now either enter the required phone number or select a number from the
phone book using the Jogdial.
9.
The SMS is sent directly by means of the
ENTER
button. During transmission,
the display will show the message
Ausgehend …
(Outgoing) and then the
message
Versendet
(Sent).
10. If the SMS is not sent correctly, the messages
Nicht versendet!
(Not sent!)
and
Erneut senden?
(Resend?) will appear in the display. If you want to
resend the SMS, press the
Enter
button.
Notes:
1.
The SMS will be saved in the
OUTGOING
folder.
2.
Text is entered as described under Item 5.1 under entering names.
3.
Text entry can be ended at any time by pressing the
CLIP/
/
button
repeatedly.
