Switching on remotely
Imagine that you have left your office or your house and have forgotten to switch
on your answering machine. Using the remote access facility, you can switch on
the answering machine from another telephone.
Call your number and let it ring until your call is answered by your answering
machine (ca. 10 times).
After the signal tone, enter your personal authorisation code. A signal tone
confirms that the right code has been entered.
Press 7 and # and your answering machine will be switched on.
Now replace the receiver or make use of the other remote access functions.
8.9.5
Remote access with insufficient memory capacity
You can control your answering machine at any time using the remote access
facility. If, however, there is no memory left for new messages, the answering
machine will no longer be able to accept calls. In this case, please proceed as
follows:
Call your number.
Let this ring for about 10 times and your answering machine will reply with the
message that the call cannot be answered.
Now enter your authorisation code. You will hear two signal tones in
confirmation and you now have the possibility of recreating more memory
space by deleting messages. To do this, first listen to the messages and then
delete individual messages or all messages. For more information see Chapter
8.9.3.
