There are several appropriate special service call
numbers available, such as the Red Cross, St. John’s
Ambulance Brigade etc. Enquire at your community
services or use the unit as a private alarm unit within
your family, circle of friends or neighbours.

This function activates a telephone self-test routine.
In addition to entering a phone number, a time inter-
val can also be defined.
Refer to U: “Defining the self-test cycle”
When the time interval has elapsed, the system calls
the phone number thus signalling to the person as-
signed the number that the system is operating cor-
rectly. If this call does not come regularly, either the
battery is empty or the telephone system is not work-
ing properly.
