Do not store the au Micro IC Card (LTE) in dusty places. Doing so
might cause a fault.
Do not store the au Micro IC Card (LTE) in places exposed to direct
sunlight or hot and humid places. Doing so might cause a fault.
Store the au Micro IC Card (LTE) out of reach of small children. Failure
to do so might cause injury or asphyxiation, etc. if they accidentally
swallow and choke on it.
Handling Precautions
These precautions are provided to ensure that performance can be
fully demonstrated. Thoroughly read these precautions to ensure
correct use.
■ Precautions common to the main unit, au Micro IC Card (LTE),
battery pack, charging equipment, peripheral devices
•
This product is waterproof/dustproof, however, do not allow
water to seep in or dust to get in the product and do not allow
accessories or optional devices to get wet or be exposed to
dust. The supplied and optional accessories are not waterproof/
dustproof.

This product has waterproof protection compliant with IPX5 and
IPX8, and dustproof protection compliant with IP5X when the
external connection jack cover, earphone jack cover, and battery
cover are securely closed. However, this does not imply that the
product is completely waterproof/dustproof. Do not attach or
remove the battery pack or open or close the external connection
jack cover, earphone jack cover or battery cover in the rain or
when waterdrops or dust is on the surface of the product. Doing
so could cause water to get inside, resulting in corrosion of the
internal parts or a fault. The supplied and optional accessories are
not waterproof or dustproof. Malfunctions determined to be caused
by exposure to water or dust getting inside are not covered by the
warranty.

The display or internal substrate might be damaged if it is subject
to forcible impact resulting in a fault. Do not sit down with the
product in a pocket of trousers or skirt or place the product under
the heavy object in a bag. Keeping an external device connected
to the external connection jack or earphone jack might damage
the connector resulting in a malfunction. Such damage and
malfunction are not covered by the warranty, even if there is no
external damage.

Do not use the product in extremely hot, cold or humid places.
(Use within an ambient temperature range of 5°C to 35°C and
humidity range of 35% to 85%.)
