NOTE: The response of a modifi cation request may either be “Request sent” or “Successful”; in
either case, the user shall retrieve the value to confi rm the new value. You may need to wait for a
few seconds or retrieve a couple times to acquire the new value.
GainControl:
displays the gain control mode setting.
Example #1: In this example, the module in slot 1 reports its gain control mode.

: this command supports modifi cation.
Example #1: In this example, the interface #1 of the slot 7 module’s GainControl is confi gured
with MGC mode.

Attenuation:
displays the attenuation reading in dB.

displays the alarm status of laser temperature.
Example #1: In this example, the module in slot 1 reports the alarm status of laser temperature as
“MajorLoLo” (e.g. Major alarm with reading below the low low threshold) on channel 1.
