3. Connecting the base to the mains power supply
1 Insert the small jack on the power cable from the rear into the recess in the
housing.
2 Plug the jack into the port marked with the symbol

on the underside of
the base.

Then
connect the power cable to the mains power supply.
The software of the base is loaded. After a short time, the idle display is displayed
on the base; it is in idle mode.
Now you can make calls with your base via ISDN, and can be reached via the
main number of your ISDN connection!
The answering machine on the base is set with a pre-recorded announcement in
answer and record mode (

for operation, as the base does
not work without a mains connection (not suitable for emergency opera-
tion).
