5.7. WHEELS
Proper maintenance of the wheels extends their lifetime. Always
check for wear or tear, as if a wheel breaks, this may cause
severe or lethal injuries.
The wheel nuts must be tightened at proper torque, i.e. using a
torque wrench.
Fit and approach all nuts by hand to avoid damaging the thread:
do not grease the wheel nuts.
Tighten the nuts in the sequence indicated
here, while tightening at the torque specified in
3 phases:
Check the tightening torque at the first 50 hours maintenance, then every 150 hours.
- NOTE-
Checking inflating pressure is not necessary as the wheels are solid, hence puncture-proof.
5.8. STARTING BATTERY
The current in the electric system is 12 volts. The starting battery is also used to supply the
emergency hydraulic plant. Therefore, the battery must be maintained charged at all times,
especially in cold weather.
