7.3  Servicing the evacuation pipe

The suction pipe (or the chimney) must be checked and 
cleaned regularly by a specialist (once a year).

 

- Check that the suction pipe is not obstructed.

 

- Check that the condensate evacuation is not blocked. 

Remove the siphon and rinse it in clean water.

Warning: The condensates are acid:

Wear acid-resistance gloves and goggles during 
maintenance.

7.4  Servicing the tank

The tank must be serviced once a year (the frequency 
may vary according to the hardness of the water).

7.4.1  Draining the hot water tank

 

- Remove the front panel of the heat pump.

 

- Close the cold water inlet on the hot water tank.

 

- Open a hot water tap and open the hot water tank 

drainage valve (

item 

1

).

7.4.2 Descaling

 

- Drain the hot water tank.

 

- Disconnect the ACI and remove the inspection hatch 

(

item 

2

).

 

- Descale the exchanger to preserve its performances.

 

- Remove any scale deposits that may have accumulated 

in the tank. It is preferable to leave the scale that has 
clung to the sides of the tank: it forms a protective 
layer.

 

- Carefully remove any scale deposits on the pocket. 

Do not use any metal objects or chemical or abrasive 
products.

Change the inspection hatch gasket after each tank 

inspection.

Do not forget to reconnect the ACI.

7.5  Checking the outdoor unit

 

- Remove any dust from the exchanger making sure 

you do not damage the blades.

 

- Correct the wings using a comb.
