8. HYDRAULIC CONNECTIONS
The water quality must meet the following parameters to extend the life of the appliance:
hardness between 15 and 50 ° F (in particular, where the water has undergone a softening or desalination
treatment)
chlorides between 25 and 100 mg / l
PH between 6.5 and 9.5
conductivity between 400 and 1500 µS / cm
Minimum water inlet pressure: 70 kpa.
Maximum water inlet pressure: 650 kpa (in case of higher inlet pressures, it is necessary to fit a pressure reducer with
compensation of inlet pressure; adjustable downstream pressure, max 600 kpa)
Connect the equipment as outlined below:
Connections (FIG_8-1):
1. Cold water inlet (1/2 ")
2. Hot water outlet (1/2 ")
3. Water supply to the engine cooling circuit (1/2 ")
4. Return water from the engine cooling circuit (1/2 ")
Key for connection diagram (FIG_8-2):
A. Domestic hot water tank
B. Pump
C. Pressure reducer
D. Non-return valve
E. Water heaters
F. Engine cooling circuit
G. Point of hot / cold water use (shower, sink, etc. ...)
It is advisable to insulate the hot water pipes in order to avoid wasting energy.
The device is equipped with a pressure relief valve (Calibration: 800 kpa): it protects the tank from possible excessive
pressure caused by the expansion of water while heating.
In case this situation occurs, the water is discharged through the drain, which the valve is equipped with (S - FIG_8-1).
Caution: connect the valve to a water drain hose
THE TUBE CONNECTED TO THE VALVE PURGE SHALL NOT BE SEALED OR LOCKED AND SHALL
BE INSTALLED, PROTECTED AGAINST ICE, WITH A CONSTANT DOWNWARD SLOPE.
DO NOT CONNECT IT TO A COCK AND KEEP IT CONSTANTLY FREE OF OBSTRUCTIONS
9. ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
The device shall be connected to a single-phase power supply (please be sure to connect the correct voltage according to the
data stated on the data label of the appliance) and to an efficient earth connection.
CAUTION: BEFORE MAKING THE CONNECTION, MAKE SURE THE POWER SUPPLY IS COMPLETELY
DISCONNECTED.
THE BUILDER DOES NOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY POSSIBLE DAMAGE RESULTING
FROM THE FAILURE TO EARTH THE APPLIANCE
The device is equipped with a power cable with Schuko plug. Connect the power cable in accordance with the wiring
regulations in force in the country where the equipment is installed.
In the event that the Schuko plug is not needed, cut the power cable and connect it to a different plug or to the power supply
directly (operation that can be performed by authorized person only).
If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, by a technical service or by an authorized qualified
person, in order to avoid any risk. When replacing the power cable, only use a cable with the same characteristics H05 VV-F -
3G 1.5 mm²
Be sure to connect the polarities correctly (FIG_9-1):
L
live (brown wire) N
neutral (blue wire)
A two-way switch, to turn on and off the appliance, and a suitable fuse shall be foreseen in the electrical plant. The
connections to the mains must be performed according to national standards of electric systems.
WARNING: CONNECT THE POWER TO ELECTRICAL RESISTANCE ONLY WHEN THE TANK IS FULL
OF WATER. THE HEATING ELEMENT IS NOT SUITABLE FOR A DRY OPERATION
