Security Mode
The Security Mode page allows you to configure the VM1600’s password-
related settings; the
Password
page sets the VM1600 to require a password for
local operation after the LCD display times out (default time out: 5 minutes) or
is powered off/on. The
Change Password
option allows you to set a new
password for the VM1600.
To configure the VM1600’s password settings from the Main Screen, use the
Menu
pushbutton to access the Menu page, then press pushbutton
4
to access
the Security Mode page.
Mode
1. To set the VM1600 so that it requires a password for local operation, press
pushbutton

in the Security Mode page.
2. To disable security settings, press pushbutton

3. To require a password after the LCD display times out or is powered off/
on, press pushbutton

4. To enable a lock screen, press pushbutton

. When Lock Screen is enabled,
pressing any pushbutton from the home screen will trigger the following
message:
Please press “Menu” to start.
