Remote Operation
Overview
The VM0808H 8x8 HDMI Matrix Switch can be configured and controlled
over a standard TCP/IP connection via its own Browser Graphical User
Interface (GUI). Because the VM0808H can be accessed from anywhere on the
LAN, WAN, or Internet, remote operators can log in via Web browsers using
IE 7 and above. Security is ensured by password protection and user
configurable time-out. The VM0808H supports three levels of remote users
with various operational privileges, and up to 32 users can log into the GUI at
one time. For full details, see the sections that follow.
Logging In
To access the Browser GUI, type the VM0808H’s IP address into the address
bar of any browser. If a Security Alert dialog box appears, accept the certificate
- it can be trusted. The welcome screen appears:
