Setting the Water Hardness 

It is necessary to descale your appliance at regular intervals. This is the only way to prevent 
damage. Your appliance has a system that automatically displays when it needs descaling. It 
is preset to a water hardness 4. Change the value if your water is softer.

Checking the water hardness

Information on the hardness of the water in your area can be obtained from the local water 
board.

Changing the water hardness

hardness’.
