2.8 Expansion cards
Refer to this section when installing expansion cards.
Make sure to unplug the power cord before installing or removing
expansion cards. Failure to do so may cause physical injury, and damage
to the card and motheboard components!
2.8.1 Installing an expansion card
To install an expansion card:
1. Lay the chassis on its side.
2. Locate the metal bracket opposite
the slot you want to use.
Remove the screw that secures
the metal bracket to the chassis.
Set aside the metal bracket for
future use.
3. Align the card golden fingers to
the slot and its metal bracket to
the slot opening on the chassis.
4. Press the card firmly until it is
properly seated on the slot.
5. Secure the card to the chassis
with the bracket screw you
removed earlier.
