The control unit will now display test progress.
• The test can be cancelled at any time by either
pressing the
P
button or the call recipient pressing
“9” on their phone to acknowledge the call. If a
radio DECT or mobile phone is used, remember to
press 9 repeatedly until the call closes.
• Check that the call/SMS has been successfully
received.
GSM Settings
This menu allows you to configure GSM specific
settings, The following items can be selected.
• Periodic SMS
• GSM signal
• SMS Keyword
• Reset GSM
Periodic SMS
Use this feature to avoid pre-paid sim card credit
expiring.
• The credit in a pre-paid GSM sim card (PAYG)
often expires after 90 days of inactivity (please check
with your provider). This option allows you to set
an automatic SMS period (between 10 days to 180
days). By sending out SMS periodically it will keep
the sim card live and avoid credit expiring.
GSM signal strength
You can check your GSM signal strength (strongest
= 9), Please relocate your panel should the value fall
below 4.
SMS Keyword
If you want to control your system remotely using
SMS, you need to set a keyword for security
reasons.
• PROG is the factory default.
Reset GSM
Should your GSM develop faults, you can reset the
GSM sim card using this option.
