FIttING the oUtlet PIPeWorK
ImpOrtant:
Pipework is required for all
outlets.
Complete the outlet pipework ending in a
½” BSP x 15 mm female thread elbow or
straight coupler
(fig.9)

note:
This fitting is not supplied as variations
in installations require the selection of the most
suitable fitting.
Screw the supplied male-thread connector into
the female fitting
(fig.10)
using PTFe tape to
provide a watertight joint.
note:
The male-thread connector has a
shoulder. If fitting into a flush wall, make an
extra 8mm allowance for this shoulder at the
finished surface. The connector can be cut to
size if required.
The threaded connector should protrude from
the wall surface between 8 mm and 13 mm.
Fit a hose to the threaded connector and direct
it to waste.
Fit temporarily the diverter lever. Open the
supplies and test for leaks in all pipework
upstream of the valve.
Turn the diverter control lever to the handset
position
and test for leaks in the pipework.
Turn the diverter control lever to the tap
position
and again test for leaks in the
pipework to the tap outlet.
Turn the diverter control lever to the fixed head
position
and once again test for leaks in the
pipework.
Remedy any leaks if necessary. Turn off the
water supplies.
MAKING GooD
Make good the wall, tiling, etc. around the
outlets.
Plaster or tile up to the edge of the mixer unit.
Make sure the grout lines are flush with the
tiles to provide a smooth sealing surface for the
cover plate.
